Prepared exclusively for Sharmin & Amreen
Thank you both for your time this morning. Following your request for a year-long plan, here is how I would prepare Amreen for the TMUA she sits in late October 2027. That gives us a full twelve months, built around the platform, with three ways we can work together, from guided self-study to weekly coaching.
Twelve months is a luxury for TMUA preparation. It is enough time to build genuine mastery rather than cram, as long as the work between sessions is structured and never aimless. That structure is exactly what the platform gives Amreen, every day of the year.
I have worked every TMUA past paper from the last ten years and tagged each question with the method that unlocks it. Amreen learns to recognise those methods, find them wherever they appear, and drill them until they are automatic. A top score is not about mysterious questions; it is about the right reflexes, and a year is plenty of time to build them properly.
She is also sitting A-level maths, and the two are not separate tracks: much of the TMUA work, the methods and the fluency, strengthens her A-level directly, and the other way round. So if a specific topic or set of questions needs a hand during the year, I am glad to give it a session whenever it helps.
A year of guided self-study, the same engine behind every option below. This is where most of the progress happens between sessions.
Every TMUA past paper, fully worked, with each question tagged by the method that unlocks it. She practises on real papers and always sees what a question is really testing.
When a method trips her up, she jumps from that question to every other one across ten years of papers that uses it, and drills the same difficulty until it is second nature.
The whole TMUA syllabus mapped into chapters and methods, so she always knows what to learn next, what she has mastered, and exactly where she stands.
A weekly study plan that reshapes itself around what she has mastered and what still needs work, keeping a full year of self-study on track without her having to guess what to do next.
A full year, in four stages, to the exam in late October 2027. Click on each step below.
Amreen starts with a full diagnostic across Paper 1 and Paper 2. The platform reads the result and builds her study plan around her real strengths and gaps, so the year starts pointed in exactly the right direction.
Through the heart of the year she works chapter by chapter and method by method, with the plan weighting whatever needs the most attention and keeping her comfortably ahead of where she needs to be.
She moves onto full enhanced past papers, using the method tags to turn every slip into targeted practice on exactly that technique, across ten years of questions.
Timed mocks under real conditions, no calculator and a tight clock, a final polish on her weakest reflexes, and then the TMUA itself in late October 2027, with the right methods already automatic.
Every option includes the full platform for twelve months. They differ only in how much of my time comes with it.
Full platform access, billed for the year
Self-study, plus a monthly hour with me
Self-study, plus a weekly one-to-one hour
Nothing here is rigid. Across twelve months we shape the hours around her term, her holidays and the exam, so the support is heaviest exactly when it counts.
On the weekly plan the year is booked at the reduced rate, with the first three months paid up front; any extra one-off hours are simply agreed as we go.
A year lets us build real mastery instead of cramming. It spreads the work comfortably, keeps Amreen ahead of where she needs to be, and means the run-up to the exam is polish and timed practice, not panic. Starting early is the single biggest advantage a TMUA candidate can have.
Once a month we have an hour together. Amreen sends me her questions in writing ahead of time, so I arrive with worked answers ready, and we spend the hour on exactly what she is stuck on rather than working it out on the spot. We finish with a short mock or review to keep her sharp between calls.
Yes. We can run quieter weeks during holidays or busy periods at school, and add extra hours or intensive weeks when she wants a push, especially as the exam nears. On the weekly plan the year is booked at the reduced rate with the first three months paid up front, and we tailor the rhythm together.
Yes. Alongside the TMUA I also tutor A-level maths, so if a specific topic or a set of questions comes up during the year, I am glad to spend a session, or part of one, on it. In practice the two feed each other: most of what we build for the TMUA, the methods, the fluency and the problem-solving, strengthens her A-level directly, and vice versa. They are communicating vessels, not separate tracks.
The full method library, every enhanced past paper, the chapters-and-methods map and her adapting schedule, for the whole twelve months. Every one of the three options includes it; the only difference is how much of my time comes alongside.
